A Pearl District Stairway To Nowhere
All that is left of this one story warehouse is a stairway to nowhere. But soon in its place with be a 26 stories of stairways. Don’t worry, they will have some elevators too. Yet another Pearl District apartment is going in. The demolition of the old one story warehouse is just the first step.
The building, named The Overton, is proposed at 1301 NW 12th would contain 275 residential units, including eight street-level townhouses. The building would also include 3,500 square feet of retail space on the ground floor and three stories of underground parking with 271 parking stalls.
Below is a rendering of what it will look like when finished. Notice that it is at a 45% angle on the lot. This is to orientate it to the river rather than the street.
